New Trial Won in People of Illinois v. John Fulton and Anthony Mitchell After Third-Stage Evidentiary Hearing
On February 19, 2019, Ms. Lyon and co-counsel Melissa A. Matuzak were successful in winning a new trial after a third stage evidentiary hearing for defendant-petitioners John Fulton and Anthony Mitchell, both of whom were convicted in 2006 and sentenced to 31 years for first-degree murder, 25 years for aggravated kidnapping and 3 years for
