Attorney Lindsay Dreis
Lindsay Dreis is a criminal defense attorney at Lyon & Kerr, where she represents individuals charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses in courts throughout the Chicago area. Her practice focuses on all phases of criminal litigation, from pre-charge investigation and motion practice through trials and sentencing. Since beginning her criminal defense practice, Lindsay has tried multiple bench trials and has extensive experience advocating for clients at every stage of the criminal process.
Lindsay earned her undergraduate degree from George Mason University in Washington, D.C., where she developed a passion for criminal law after interning at a prominent criminal defense firm in London.
She went on to earn her J.D., with a concentration in criminal litigation, from The Catholic University of America. During law school, Lindsay honed her courtroom and advocacy skills at the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, where she worked in both the parental and criminal defense divisions. She also gained experience in family and criminal law while working at a private firm in Annapolis.
Lindsay relocated to Chicago in 2023 and initially practiced employment law, representing individuals in matters involving discrimination based on arrest and conviction records, among other employment-related issues. She later returned to her primary passion—criminal defense—where she developed significant courtroom experience representing clients charged with a wide range of misdemeanor and felony offenses.
